My March Reading List

I seemed to be devouring books in December in January. So much so that I ran out of things to read and put somewhere around 15 books on hold through Overdrive. It seemed everything I wanted was unavailable and had ridiculously long waits. While it didn’t help me much in the moment, at least it ensured that I have a nice variety on my March reading list… although it means that I’ve got to read A LOT. We will see if I have time for much else or if I even end up finishing all of them.

Without further ado, here is what I’ve got on my March reading list:

Doctor Sleep by Stephen King

March Reading List

This one is the sequel to The Shining, which I actually just finished reading. At first, I wasn’t that creeped out but apparently, it was getting to my subconscious. I started having nightmares and getting sleep paralysis. During the most recent episode, I saw a dark figure standing over me with a mallet… so I guess I did get a little freaked out. I heard that this one is just as creepy, so my fingers are crossed it lives up to the rumors. I also want to watch the movie but wanted to read it first.

Nevernight by Jay Kristoff

Nevernight

Somebody recommended this one to me after I finished the Court of Thorns and Roses series. It does sound intriguing so I’m hoping to enjoy it. If I’m being fair though I also started and didn’t finish two others that were recommended to me (for a couple of reasons). I’m hoping that this one is better.

Caraval by Stephanie Garber

Caraval

This one I came across on Pinterest. I thought this one sounded appealing because of the circus and magic combo. It seems to have pretty decent reviews. Some did say it had Night Circus vibes which I’ve also heard good things about.

The Mists of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley

Mists of Avalon

This one has been on my to be read list for a really long time. I’m not really sure why I never actually picked it up. Probably has to do with something else always catching my attention. I did have to wait a while for this one too. I’m not supposed to get it for another 2 weeks or so, so I doubt I’ll get to start it until towards the end of March. But I’ve always been pretty fascinated with King Arthur, so I’m sure I won’t be disappointed.

The Institue by Stephen King

The Institute

I was going to wait until the hype had died down on this one but ended up going for it because a coworker was raving about how much he enjoyed it. I’ve had this on hold for nearly 3 months and should get it around the end of March. Stephen King hasn’t let me down yet, so I’m sure I’ll enjoy it.

House of Earth and Blood by Sarah J. Mass

House of Earth and Blood

This baby comes out on March 3rd! I won’t be waiting on this one through Overdrive because… well… I’m obsessed with her other stuff and would probably end up buying it anyway. If I’m being honest I might not get around to reading this one until April though **sobs** because I’ve got too many other fairly lengthy ones to get through first. But I’m going to try!
