I’ve really been into personal development recently and a big part of that is growing with my business. I’ve spent a ton of time thinking about what I need to do in order to turn my blog into a profitable business. There has been an increase in my blog traffic and I’ve just been feeling like I’m leaving money on the table. Google has been my best friend, but it’s very hard to find clear and upfront information for free on the web. Of course, people want you to pay for the information because that’s how they’re making a profit and supporting their dreams.
It can get a little frustrating sometimes though because we usually go into things with this idea that we don’t want to spend money. If you’re anything like me, then you might realize that yes, you do need to spend money to make money, but you’re pretty skeptical about some of the products that are out there. Just a disclaimer here, I have bought a couple of courses in the past that I felt didn’t deliver on what was promised. They weren’t high dollar courses by any means, but it is still a frustrating feeling.
Anyway, back to what I was saying about leaving money on the table. I knew that I hadn’t been making the most out of my blog. I’ve been working really hard at networking and getting my posts in front of readers which has definitely worked wonders. I’ve met a lot of great people, but I still wasn’t seeing a profit from my blog.
I have toyed with affiliate marketing over the last few months but wasn’t really sure what I was doing. I’ve researched different things on the internet to give me a basic understanding of how it worked, but I was still nowhere near being an expert and hadn’t made any sales. I kept hearing about the Making Sense Of Affiliate Marketing Course through different people I had met, social media, Google, etc. It wasn’t something I had really given much thought to before because I didn’t think I needed it. How wrong I was.
How does Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing prevent you from leaving money on the table?
This course literally starts from the very basics, so it doesn’t matter what your level of knowledge is when it comes to affiliate marketing. Michelle Schroeder-Gardner, the creator of the Making Sense Of Affiliate Marketing course, makes over $50,000 PER MONTH by implementing the practices that she teaches you in this course. She takes you through every little detail to set you up for success. On top of the course itself, she includes worksheets to help you complete the activities that she recommends. Once you’ve purchased the course, you are also entitled to any updates, including new resources, that she updates the course with.
If you’re serious about creating a profitable blog, then you NEED to know about affiliate marketing. Of course, you should still create your own products and services, but why would you want to leave any money on the table? The purpose of affiliate marketing is to talk about products that you love so that your readers can get in on them too.
There are 6 (for now anyway) bonus pieces to the course, including how to increase your visits through Pinterest. Honestly, all of them were incredibly helpful and I’ve already seen a huge impact from implementing the practices they recommend. Pretty freaking awesome, if you ask me! I made my first affiliate sale within a week of taking the course!
Why should you take this course?
The course is completely self-paced, so you can take as long as you need to complete it. It took me a few days, but it might take you less or longer. Just make sure that you understand what you’re reading. If you rush, you’ll be doing yourself a disservice.
Here are some of the things that she covers in this course:
- What affiliate marketing is and how it works
- Why affiliate marketing is great
- The exact steps she’s taken to earn over $300,000 from a single blog post
- How to pick the right affiliate products to promote
- How to increase conversions
- Required disclosures that you need to know about
- How to build trust and not lose followers
- The one major tool you need for affiliate marketing
- Different strategies to use to promote your affiliate products
- How to use Pinterest to succeed at affiliate marketing (yes, this includes the newest Pinterest affiliate rules!)
One of my biggest key learnings from the course was the required disclosures and rules. Like I mentioned before, I had tried affiliate marketing in the past and had some links up in a few of my posts. I was self-taught and got all of my information from different blog articles. I hadn’t come across any of the rules or laws associated with affiliate marketing. Eventually, I could have found myself in a lot of trouble if I hadn’t taken this course. Luckily, I was able to implement everything I learned right away.
On top of all of that, there is also an exclusive Facebook group for you to join. You can participate in regular discussions. Michelle herself even gets on there to share information and educate you. Pretty great, right?
Are you ready to stop leaving money on the table?
Honestly, I wish I had taken this course so much sooner. I would have been so much closer to meeting my goals than I am right now. It was so frustrating because I wasn’t making anything. I’d essentially tossed it to the back burner. I do want to be clear that taking this course doesn’t mean that you’re going to be a millionaire overnight. The key is you and how you implement what you learn!
Now, if you’re brand spanking new to blogging and haven’t gotten a hang of the basics yet, then this might not be the best investment for you quite yet (it will be though). You need to have a general understanding of how blogging works. There is a lot to learn and it’s not a good idea to overwhelm yourself.
You can stop leaving money on the table and sign up for Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing here for $197. If you can’t afford to pay it all at once, she does have a payment plan option that you can look into. If you’re skeptical about online courses, then rest assured she does have a refund policy. I doubt you will need to use it. Work hard and implement what the course teaches you and you will start to see the results that you want.
