Ditch The Introvert Misconceptions Series

Ditch the Introvert Misconceptions Series | Introverts | Introverted Entrepreneurs

Hey, there introvert! I’m so glad you stopped by! I’ve been thinking a lot lately about introverts and what makes them so awesome. I don’t know about you, but I’ve been told pretty much my whole life that I should try to be more extroverted. I’ve heard every misconception about introverts that there are. It’s time to ditch the introvert misconceptions! I’m sure you’re just as tired of hearing them as I am.

I believe that these misconceptions can really affect introverts in a negative way. Sure, a lot of times it’s easy to brush them off, but there are times where it gets a little tougher. Maybe you’re an introverted entrepreneur and you’ve been really struggling lately with some type of business endeavor. Along comes someone (probably a well-meaning friend or family member) and you start to talk through your frustrations. Sometimes all you need to do is vent, but your well-meaning friend or family member uses the opportunity to talk about the fact that you should be more outgoing. All this does is make you more frustrated and hinders your ability to move forward. It can end up making the whole situation worse.

Why am I creating the “Ditch the Introvert Misconceptions” series?

  1. This blog series is going to educate introverts and extroverts alike so that they can better understand introverts as a whole. Like I mentioned earlier, people have told me all of my life, that I need to change who I am. I’ve gotten to a point in my life where I finally understand that that is just not the case.  By the end of it, I hope that it brings clarity that introverts can be pretty dang awesome just being introverts! You don’t need to be an extrovert to have success.
  2. Some of the misconceptions out there are just plain wrong! Sure, some of them may apply to some introverts (shy, doesn’t like public speaking, etc.), but not all. Some of them could even apply to some extroverts! Introverts are not all the same, just like extroverts are not all the same.
  3. For my introvert friends out there! It’s so important to move past the limitations of these misconceptions. You are capable of so much and you shouldn’t let silly little things hold you back. I hope that this series will help you start to embrace who you are as an introvert so that you can move forward to be the best that you can be. Plus, there’s going to be something extra special for any introverted entrepreneurs out there as well. Stay tuned!
  4. I love who I am and I want to encourage other introverts to do the same. You are powerful and have the ability to do whatever you want to do. You don’t need to be an extrovert to do so.

What can you expect from the new series?

Over the next few weeks, you can expect a bunch of new content all focused on the bad raps that introverts get, plus content on some of the truths about introverts! The new series will be focused on diving deep and talking at length about the different misconceptions that are out there. It will be fun and light-hearted, but also pretty informative. I hope that you will walk away from the series with a little more understanding of what makes introverts so awesome. And just so you know, you don’t need to be an extrovert to find success, friends, or happiness!

I’ve got a lot planned out for you to dive into, but if you have something, in particular, you want me to talk about, make sure you let me know. 1. I can’t wait to read more. And yes this is so true! Not all introverts are the same. Its pretty ironic because my bestfriend and i were talking about introverts and extroverts today. We both are introverts but she begs to differ because she says that I talk to random strangers without the sound of fear or nervousness in my speak. Little does she know I fake it! Everytime i open my mouth to talk to people im scared as hell. Fortunately my listeners dont pick up on it and they too consider me as an outgoing character. My best friend on the other hand, and im sorry if this is long, hates talking to people on the whole. She literally is afraid if people. If someone is stepping on her foot she wouldn’t say anything all because she’s afraid to tell them get off. Which is why she gets taken advantage of alot even as a young adult. Thats when i step in to defend her. But im really looking forward to what the next series have install.

    1. So true!! We all have different quirks to our personalities. I worked in an environment where I had to talk to a lot of people (I was a branch manager for a large bank for 4 years). I learned to deal with confrontation, talking to people, and so much more. I still don’t like it, but can put on a brave face and nobody would ever know lol. But it is definitely true that it’s easy for people to take advantage of introverts. I’m so glad you’re excited for the series!! ❤️
