Participating in this Blogtober challenge is definitely going to be a good thing. I’ve been kept busy pretty much all day, so I didn’t have time until now to get any writing done. Normally I would have just read or played on my phone until it was time to go to sleep, rather than getting into a post. But, I wanted to make sure that I stuck to this challenge and got a post done everyday.
I had a couple posts planned out, but need a little more time to prepare them. So, this post is going to be a little random. It should be a good read though LOL.
Random Musing #1:
There is definitely a crispness to the air now and I’m so excited, despite the fact that my toes have been ice cubes all day long. Weird fun fact about me: I hate socks. You’ll find me wearing flip-flops or flats all year-long. I broke my foot last November and thankfully didn’t get a real cast, but I had a temporary cast for a few days and it was TORTURE. I get really grumpy if my feet get hot because it makes the rest of me hot. The heat thing is actually why I prefer Fall and Winter.
Aside from the cold toes though, it’s great! Chilly weather means I get to wear my new beanie that I got from my Fall FabFitFun box. (Grab your box before it’s sold out! Make sure you use the coupon code PUMPKINSPICE to get $10 off). Plus, I made delicious and homemade chicken noodle soup for dinner. All that was missing was some homemade bread to go along with it.
Random Musing #2:
I’ve been feeling a little stir crazy recently and need to get out of the apartment (aside from going to the store). So, tomorrow I plan on going to one of the local parks. It’s got gorgeous scenery so I’m looking forward to seeing some the fall leaves. Plus, maybe I’ll get to finally see some orcas or seals. I feel like it’s the perfect time to go. Wish me luck!
Random Musing #3:
I finally picked up where I left off writing my book and I’m pretty excited. It is kind of frustrating though, because I keep getting interrupted. I find my groove and then something happens that I need to go take care of. I need to get rid of all of my distractions and get cracking.
Aside from that, I really understand why people say you should just write, then edit later. I was rereading what I had written and was pretty shocked. So many typos! It can get distracting if you’re trying to write but you keep rereading and fixing errors. You’ll never complete what you’re doing if you keep getting hung up. It’s better to get the first draft out, then fix everything that needs to be fixed.
Well, if you made it this far, then kudos to you. Thanks for reading my random musings of the day 🙂
